Untitled – Why should all poems be titled?? This poem does not conform to usual standards…!!

Are you wondering why this post has such a strange title??? Me too  lolz!   ………….No I didnt think of the title  name it has been passed to me via  a strange tag. Yes tagged once again ,that adds up  to 5 tags in the last 4 weeks!!!!! and yes I am slowly but surely working my way through them (other wise what few readers I have here ,will all dissapear from overload of me bragging about my self and my antics from sheer boredom!!! )hee heee see even I can laugh at my self!!

Ok back to the mentioned title,  sree-  from All in the mind passed this tag to me . I have been asked  to write some sort of abstract poem,  totally random and I guess  not edited about what ever is going through my current state of mind. Now those who are regular visitors to my blog will be aware that I am passionate about cooking and am currently concentrating on  my food blog  simply.food. <<<<I am trying very hard to improve it and take it to the next level.

For days I was thinking to write some sort of poetry for it , each time I thought of a line, I have been  jotting it down but in all honesty  thats  as far as it had got  and has been sitting  in the draft  post  ever since, well that is until now. So with out any further introduction here is the rough , unpolished  jotting of my poem.

Cinnamon spice and all things nice… 

Cinnamon clove and star anise
Fragrant aromas to tantalise and please
Cooking baking mixing with a whizz
Desserts, cakes and ice creams that you can freeze please.

Sweet and sour with a hint of bite
Maybe a salad for that something lite light?
Flour, eggs and butter milk
Chocolate soufflés that fall down and sink turn out like silk.

A savoury touch with some special spice
Something that gives a kick and goes with rice
Eastern, Western or a European dish
Culinary delights to earn you a kiss fulfil your every wish.

Day and night I think dream of food
I know for my waistline this is no good
So instead I write my creations in a blog
Hopefully one day it will be famous enough to flog log!!

Its been a while since I updated this blog, its not that I havn’t thought about it, but more so that currently I am concentrating on my recipe blog simply.food. I have had some time off for Christmas and having my daughter at home also means that I have been baking and cooking and trying out all the new recipies  that I never had time to do.Its fun but time consuming especially as many recipies I have to photograph each and every step or instructions,this makes preparing food even longer.But I am having fun in the process.

But back to this post and todays post is all about tag, this tag was passed on to me by  fellow blogger Shruti-Welcome to my world. This is my third tag in the blogging world and as tags go the rules are almost always the same :

So here goes seven things about me:

1. I am happy as I recived a brand new camera for Christmas so that I can click many pictures for my blog!!

2.I  need to try and take up my fitness seriously again as I have let it lapsed in last few weeks.

3. I went on a shopping spree and bought 3 new pairs of shoes  all at once!!!

4. I love driving but not in the snow, yes its been snowing in the UK.

5. I have a confession to make, I love watching all the kids disney movies that are on sky Tv over Christmas.  See I am a big kid at heart.

6. Although I never allow my daughter to eat ice cream straight out of the tub, thats exactly what I did!! Of course it was  the 1st and the last time!!! 

7.I am  desperate to go on holiday somewhere warm ,sun ,sea and sand, lets hope this happens this year.

I am going to bend the rules slightly of this tag , I am going to pick the last seven people who posted their links in blog.blogger,blogging ,blogspot  ( your link and comment on my blog thread)and pass the tag to them I hope they accept. I have not interacted with some of these bloggers  and I think this is the perfect oppurtunity to get to know more about them. I certainly hope they will rise to the challenge and not mind this intrusion in their blogger space..

My 1st Award.

This is my first award on this blog.I don’t really know what to say I am lost for words!  …thanks Sree for the award!! Dont know why you chose me, maybe you like what or I write may be you needed to offload it on to some one or may be you picked a random name and I just happen to be on the top of the list considering angel starts with an “A” lolz !!! Any way let me say I proudly accept it what ever the reason.

Umm so what I didn’t realise when I decided to accept is that there is  a catch!That was naughty Sree, after all how can a gift have conditions attached to it but in any case these are the rules:

The rules are:

So following the rules kindly laid out by my fellow blogger Sree, I have to share  10 kewl things about  about me and then pass the award to 7 fellow unsuspecting  bloggers to do the same.Can’t be that hard can it?????(<<Angel thinking while scratching her head!!)

10 mins later Angel still scratching her head where to start and what to write??Surely I am not such an  uninteresting person that I can’t think of a single thing to write  about my self???But try I must so here goes.

1.My favorite colour is blue, any shade of blue closely followed by black.My entire wardrobe consists of mainly combination of these colours.

2.I am a piscean, they are supposed to be romantic, sensitive type , who bury their  their head in the clouds daydreaming all day. I guess I am romantic and sensitive but definitely not a day dreamer.I am very energetic and decisive so some one got that prediction wrong!!!

3.I adore cooking , I blog about it too, Sree may be you should share your recipies with me since you you share the same passion!!!I love experimenting with new ingredients although sometimes the results and taste do not always produce the  the desired results!!!I have had many a culinary disasters.But they say if you don’t try you don’t learn!! But cooking is no fun if you don’t have a taster!! 

4.I enjoy travel, have been to most places in Europe, Asia and Africa. I love beach holidays,my idea of paradise is sun sea and sand.

5Although a little choosy in making new friends, once I make a new friend I believe in loyalty  and keep them for life.

6.I truly believe that for a relationship to work there is no room for  egos.

8.Number eight already I guess not as hard as I thought to talk about my self but what else would you like to know? Music?? I like most melodious music, any thing that’s soothing and pleasing to the ear.

9.My favorite time of the day is dawn,I love the peace and serenity of a fresh new day.

10 Finally I am on number ten , if you are still reading this well done for reaching here.I hope I have not bored you.To know me you would need more than 10  statements, so I can only say you can never know a person fully there is always room to discover new aspects  everyday.

Ok as I have never been tagged before , I am unsure as to what exactly I am supposed to write, but as Sree says on his post ,I need to write 25 things about my self!!! and then pass the tag to someone else.

Ummm <<< head scratching where to start Ok ……only 25 Sree??     Once I start there will be no stopping. But I guess in fear as not to bore all my regular visitors , I will stick to the brief. So here goes:

1.What am I wearing? -jeans , white T shirt and a pale blue fleece.

2. From the above you may have guessed my fav colour is blue in fact any shades of blue.

3.What have I just eaten?-toasted cheese and tomato sandwich and a soya yoghurt  and water.

4.What am I thinking right now?-what to write for the next 21 points lolz heehee!! 

5. My fav music at the moment-all yuvraaj tracks,rab ne banadi jodi and Jason Mraz.

6.Last bollywood movie I saw  at the cinema was Rab ne banadi jodi.<<yeh and I loved it well I would because I am a die hard SRK fan.

7.The most satisfying thing I did this week?-Had a lovely afternoon baking cakes with my daughter.

8.The most romantic thing I did this week?-had a lovely candle lit dinner with hubby just the two of us at my fav chinese restaurant.

9.The worst thing I did this week??-This is bad but I did it.  I screamed at my hubby for mopping the kitchen floor with my best white bathroom towel!!!

11.My favorite time of the day- early mornig when the dew is fresh and there is silence everywhere, just listening to the birds chirpping.

12.I am an avid reader , can read anything except horror and politics  .Currently doing some light reading  a book called “Growing pains of a hapless house husband”  by Sam Holden .Its so funny .

13.My dream car a convertible black BMW ,but sadly thats is  still a dream and so making do with a VW POLO.

14. My favorite dessert is lemon meringue pie with vanilla ice cream.

15.I swim , play tennis  do yoga and go the the gym…. well got to somehow try and shed those extra pounds that keep piling on!!lolz!! 

16.I love travelling  ,been all over Europe, some parts of Asia and India twice, would love to visit India again.

17.I hate cold weather, love summers and beach holidays ,sun sea and sand any day.

18.I am a early morning person, but late nights  are a NO NO!! 11.00 pm and my bed starts to beckon me!! ….Well angels need their beauty sleep, how else can they be angels????   ;)

19. I have two left feet cannot dance to save my skin, ….Unfortunately my right leg never can follow what the left leg is doing!!! Sad I would have loved to be a prima donna ….may be in the next life!!!

20.Most people who know me think I am organised  I dont know why???  

21.I love creative writing ,started blogging couple of years back. I have three blogs  to my name two personal and one dedicated to cookery.Why cookery you may ask?? Its one of my passions!!…I bet you are thinking can she cook???

22.How am I feeling right now??Releived that I am almost done with this tag but sad because I have been watching the update on Jade Goody -you know the woman who made big TV news with Shilpa Shetty in Uk’s big brother.She is dying and its soooo bad.

23.My first love was my next door neighbours son we were both four and inseparable!!!

24.Languages I speak fluent English and gujarati a few words in Hindi courtesey of star plus  and  few words in french  and german from school days.

25.Finally sigh of releif, I am wonderering should I congratualte my self or you the reader for arriving here????This is the final fact about me  now where shall I start I havnt even begun yet .To know me you will need more than 25 pointers!!
